“Everyone has a price.”

First things first, did you guys notice how Marie Lu used the name Daniel Wing again! He is the brother of Asher, the captain of the Phoenix Rider. Imagine my surprise when I read the name Daniel Batu Wing. I know I’ve heard that name before! Daniel Wing, kept saying it like a mantra. And then I remembered, Legend!!! Daniel Batu Wing in Warcross = Daniel Altan Wing for Legend. Yeeeee!!!!! Because Day is my ultimate and very first book boyfriend, I know I'll remember his name anytime! Plus, i’m pretty sure that if Marie Lu used Eden for Asher’s name, i’ll totally believe that Warcross is some sort of future world of Legend (well, a girl can dream right?)

So now that that’s been said, I have a lot of feelings for this book. First, how amazing is it that Marie Lu was able to create an entirely different world from Legend and Young Elites. More on technology, the future and virtual games. But there’s still the dauntless, heroic lead female character, the amazing fight scenes and the intricate detailing of the worlds that are always present in her works.

Second, I loved the games! I loved how different they are from each other and yet still exciting all the same! I love the championship game, and how you can just imagine the astonishing play that was happening. Lu did a really good job in creating a game play especially when she’s thinking for both teams right? The Warcross world is all so amazing and detailed to its finest, and yet she managed to create games entirely stunning and jaw-dropping good!

Third, you know when at the early parts of the book the conflict slowly unfolds? Like how the issue is coming to bloom, you slowly understand what the book is going to be about, and you have your own guess on who the antagonist will be? I was completely wrong in Warcross!! I thought it was the right hand/schoolmate, or the fighter in the team or a businessman. I was totally wrong! I did not expect that turn of events!! To say I was shocked is such an understatement. I never, in a million times, would have predicted that person to be the bad guy! But there was one thing I’m sure of while reading the book: he is alive! (About who this ‘HE’ i’m talking about, you’re just gonna have to read the book )

I’m really invested in this book, and now I want to know what happens next! One thing i’m sure of: Marie Lu will surely blow our minds with the next installment in this series.

She did not fail with Legend and The Young Elites series. I'm sure she'll never fail to wow us with Warcross!

Till my next review!

Have fun reading!
